Are you looking for a family chore chart printable that works for all your family members? When it comes to helping with household chores, there can be a simple way to get the entire family to help out with all the important things that need to get done around the house.

The great thing about having a simple chore chart is that it can help to establish a daily routine that will get everyone to take part in simple tasks in the best way possible. From young kids to older kids, there is space for everyone to do their fair share to help clean house and have good behavior.

We’ve been using a free printable family chore chart for years, and it’s been a game changer! The kids know their specific tasks, and we have a reward system set up to give more screen time or different perks once their chores are completed.

What are appropriate chores for kids?

There are a lot of things to take into consideration when figuring out chores for kids. While each household can ultimately decide what is best, be sure to also take into consideration the maturity of the child, too.

Younger kids can easily help out with chores like sweeping the floor and wiping down the table before dinner. Older kids are typically better at washing dishes, cleaning the windows, vacuuming, and helping with laundry.

If you’re looking for a simple way to get everyone involved in chores, think of chores that all ages can do.

Folding the laundry, putting away clean clothes, sweeping the porch – all easy to do and great for all ages.

Should chores be set up daily, weekly, or monthly?

The chore chart basics will be whatever you want them to be. If you want the kids to do chores every single day, then have a chore chart for daily chores.

You can also create a schedule so that you schedule out entire weeks of chores for the kids as well. If you have the planning capability, you can plan on chores for the entire month, too.

My trick is that I tend to assign chores to each kid for the month because it’s easier to track. One month someone is on laundry duty, then they switch to dusting or something along those lines.
