Before we begin, let me show you how our family chore chart looks like. We’ve been writing everyone’s task so we can keep the house in order. We have an active boy and a baby hence keeping our little abode organized certainly means teamwork.

All members in the household can easily see(in case someone needs a little reminder) his home assignment. For example, my husband knows that he’s the person in charge in maintaining the garage and the car clean as well as doing the heavy laundry! Even the little boy knows that he has to make his own bed and that he has to put back his toys in their proper shelves after playing them! We don’t have a spotless home, I admit. But we have created a system that makes it a comfortable place to be in.

I was totally impressed when I saw this pin over Pinterest. Some household chores in fun graphics that can be printed for free! If you’re wondering how these can be used, simply print the graphics, write your kid’s name, and have each chore posted under her name! I think these will make excellent to stick in paper magnets to stick onto fridge doors! What do you think? Calling all moms with toddlers! If you’re looking for a free chore chart that’s truly simple for your little ones I’ve found a really sweet design which you can, again, get for free at Dandee blog!

What’s really sweet about this chore chart is that it was lovingly created by Dandee for her toddlers. It’s a truly simple system that’s really designed for the little ones with just some minimal parent supervision. With this chart, toddlers are just going to stick a sticker for each routing/chore done. It also makes a great way to motivate them for being a great help around!

Quick Tips to Make the Kids Use the Chore Charts

Skeptical that your kids might not bite the chore chart system idea?Here are some practical tips that can sure help!

Involve the kids in writing the chore chart. While you have that brilliant idea in your mind as to how your kid’s chore chart should be like, remember that it’s their chart, not yours! Include them in planning what chores they can contribute while you also introduce new tasks that you want them to learn. Have them write and decorate their own chore chart!

Make it fun!Try not to make the chore chart nothing but just all about chores! Try to surprise them by writing some rewards after the chore written. For example? After the task, “Clean your own room” you can also add something like “Buy a new shirt!” Kids will surely like that idea!

Start them young. The young ones are usually the more excited ones to do the chores, have you observed? Start them young and doing the chores will turn into habits!

Finally, don’t keep your chore charts the same for more than a month! The same chores day after day becomes boring for the kids! Experiment on substituting new chores along with the every day basics. If you feel that your kid is growing out of the chores in the chart, give her a new one again! Has she mastered cleaning the fridge? How about finally involving her in cooking your meals? How about teaching her to plate their lunch boxes the fun way? Keep on looking for chores that excite the kids! Get creative!
